The objective of the SARI Part M Implementation Visit was to assess the state's implementation of the Regulations pertaining to continuing airworthiness under SARI Part M Regulation adapted to local requirements.
Deployment of a short term expert in AGA

At the request from CAA Bhutan, the APP provided a part time expert to support Bhutan in the field of aerodromes.
The work of the expert included:

a review of national legislation pertaining to aerodromes

a review of CC/EFOD for Annex 14, Volume I and II, as applicable
-
a review of inspector's handbook
-
a review of PQs in the domain of aerodromes and ground aids
-
a review of aerodrome inspector's guidance material, manuals, checklists, etc.
-
support in the development of guidance material
-
support and guidance of CAA in certification of airports and surveillance activities, review aeronautical studies and risk assessment, aircraft rescue and firefighting requirements, SMS and SSP implementation for AGA
SMS and SSP Implementation training
26 September - 5 October 2017, Paro, Bhutan
This 8 day course covered ICAO Annex 19 SSP and SMS Requirements and provide the participants with the knowledge on how to evaluate the effectiveness of SMS.

Designated medical examiner training
